There are very few attorneys in Wyoming with expertise in immigration law, and even fewer who offer immigration services for free or a reduced rate. Without an attorney, an immigrant’s likelihood of success in their case is dramatically lowered. Wyoming Immigrant Advocacy Project aims to increase capacity by providing mentorship and training to volunteer attorneys who commit to accepting case referrals on a pro bono or “low bono” basis or otherwise donating hours to the project. This enables the local bar to better meet the legal needs of low-income immigrants while ensuring that cases are handled appropriately.

WIAP promotes and defends the rights of all immigrants through free and low-cost legal services, public education, and systemic advocacy.
